The event went off well with few exceptions.
It was awesome to have some of the best and most well known pilots in the world attend the event, some of you who still want to escalate your flying might have learned some new tricks wile watching these boys fly, as for me I just watch with wonder at what can be done with lots of skill and imagination.
I want to thank Ray for not only cooking the steaks but also purchasing them and all the leg work that requires, without his contribution in time and probably frustration we would not have a dinner, I know I would not do it myself, Thank you Ray!!!
And without Rob nothing would happen, he called me the senior officer in the pilot meeting but he is the back bone behind these events, as the CD he had lots of stuff to deal with, when I saw the book the AMA sent me for my CD that I only have, thanks to Rob doing the home work I thought F-me I am glad Rob is doing this, it looks like a hassle! About all I do is keep the check book up and store some tables and chairs. Rob does the biggest part. Thanks Rob!!! This is not to mention Rob's generosity with helping people fly, from donating time to fix stuff for people and or give or loan stuff to people as well as this weekend Rob and (Brian?) repairing vandalized club equipment!
Kenny G was left out of the thank you's this weekend, well he did a big part too, he took time off to keep the school and all the parking spaces filled correctly as to avoid conflict, he did a great job, Thank You Kenny G!!!
Evelyn does lots of work year after year after year to keep us fed, not to mention putting my and Shree up for the weekend at heir's and John's house, Thanks Evelyn and John too!!!
I had a great time flying, I don't fly models much during the year so I seem to hit the flight line peaty hard during the events with about six to eight flights a day and three or four on Sunday. I also put Jason Krause up Sunday thru Tuesday morning. We did some good RV flying on Monday, and we saw everything from MT St Helens to the beach to Independence to Vans and the “Spruce Goose".
